Privacy Policy

• We publish volleyball stats and results — the same information printed in a box score or a game program.
• We never publish a minor's contact information, and we never sell personal information or use student data for targeted advertising.
• Schools and clubs stay in control of their rosters, and a parent or school can have anything corrected or removed at any time.

• Account holders (coaches, officials, referees, parents, athletes 13+): name, email address, and a password we store only as a one-way cryptographic hash. Role-specific scope such as the school you coach for or the state you officiate in.
• Athletes on a roster: name, school or club, team level, position, jersey number, grad year, and on-court statistics entered by their coach or a match official. Athletes under 13 do not have accounts — their stats-only profile is maintained by a coach.
• Match records: scores, lineups, substitutions, timeouts, and per-player stats, plus which account recorded them.

Public pages show on-court performance only: name, team, position, and game statistics. We never publish a minor's home address, phone number, email, birth date, class schedule, or precise location. Coach and official emails are never shown publicly either. See Rules & Youth Safety for the full guardrails.

• Accounts are limited to people 13 and older. A child under 13 must not create an account.
• A stats-only roster entry for an athlete under 13 contains no contact information and no login. It is created and maintained by the team's coach, and a parent or guardian may have it removed at any time.

• We act as a service provider to schools and clubs: student data is used only to operate the service — never sold, never rented, never used for targeted advertising, and never disclosed except to operate the service or as required by law.
• Any advertising or sponsorship on the site is contextual (based on the page, not the person) and is never targeted using student data.
• We sign data-privacy agreements with schools, districts, or a state association on request, consistent with the Illinois Student Online Personal Protection Act (SOPPA).

• Match results and statistics are kept as part of the competitive record for as long as the school, club, or association wants that record maintained.
• A parent, guardian, athlete, coach, or school may request a correction or the removal of a profile at any time — email safety@v-ball.net. Account holders may delete their own account by contacting support@v-ball.net.
• When a school or association relationship ends, its data is exported back to it on request and then deleted from our systems.

All traffic is encrypted with HTTPS. Passwords are stored only as scrypt hashes. Sessions use signed, HTTP-only cookies. Write access to rosters and stats is limited to approved coaches, officials, and administrators, and sign-in attempts are rate-limited. The database is backed up automatically by our hosting provider.
